DoubleShore.Kit.LayoutPicker

Custom Umbraco property editor that renders configured options as a thumbnail-based visual picker. Stores a single string alias for backwards-compatible runtime use. Also supports conditional display (show/hide siblings based on the picked value).

Install

dotnet add package DoubleShore.Kit.LayoutPicker

Supports Umbraco 17.5 and later on the 17.x line.

Configuration

Configure options in the property editor data type — each option has an alias (stored value), a display label, and a thumbnail. Optionally attach condition rules to sibling properties so they show/hide based on the picked option.

Storage

The property stores a single string (the picked option's alias). This is backwards-compatible with any code that previously read a plain string value.
